A family owned ground floor apartment on the edge of the Cabo De Gata nature reserve. It is set in the El Toyo Golf resort which has beautifully maintained gardens and pool area. It is just a few minutes walk to the coast and a fantastic promenade to take leisurely walks along the sea front.

It has a local shop at the end of the road and a 10 minute walk takes you to Retamar which has all the local amenities, restaurants and bars.
Sightseeing: City of Almeria - visit the Alcazaba, an ancient Arab fortress built by the Calph of Cordoba. City of Granada and the famous Alhambra can be seen in a days trip. Alpujarras valley with its famous white washed villages and the cave houses at Guadix on the Granada road. Tabernas Desert visit Mini Hollywood, the location of many a spaghetti western such as 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly'. Las Salinas salt flats. Las Almoladeras bird sanctuary. Old Gold Mines at Rodalquilar. Sorbas Town. Cabo de Gata Lighthouse.
Beaches / Golf: Cabo De Gata National Park - the largest coastal nature reserve in Andalucia, loads of unspoilt beaches to explore such as Play de los Genoveses, has shallow waters and plenty of shading from pine trees, ideal for all the family. Retamar beach is also very quiet and unspoilt, has a couple of beach bars and some water sports. Alboran Golf Course - 18 hole golf course, newly bulit 2005, right on your doorstep. 20 min drive also got Playa Serena in Roquetas de Mar and La Envia Golf situated in the hills.
Shopping: Great shopping in Almeria city. Only 10 minutes drive into centre. Roqetas de Mar - has a big shopping complex, only 20 min drive from the apartment, free parking, lots of restaurants.
Golf: Excellent facilities on the Alboran Golf Course. 18 holes, newly built for the Mediterranean games in 2005.
