The Costa Almeria is the stretch of Almerian coastline in the autonomous region of Andalucia. It is in the south west of Spain on the
shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Travelling east from the town of Almeria is the coastline of the Caba de Gatais which is a rugged and desolate region
with less than 200mm of rain per year. Sparsely populated, the coast remains completely unspoiled by hordes of tourists and visitors here get a real sense
of exploration as they clamber their way on foot to the remote coves and beaches.
The west of Almeria, by contrast, is a highly developed tourist region with the popular resorts of Roquetas de Mar and Aguadulce having
all the facilities needed to support mass tourism.
Almeria city itself with the Alcazaba castle is well worth a visit and the mild climate of the region, allows visitors to enjoy the
various attractions and facilities all year round.
