Costa Blanca Map and Information
The Costa Blanca ("White Coast") region is (along with the Costa del Sol) one of the better known holiday destinations in Spain. It can be found roughly in the middle of the eastern coastline of the Iberian peninsula and it is the excellent climate and the many miles of fantastic beaches which, combined, make the region so popular.
The region is almost unique in that it can boast that it has 'something for everyone', from the hustle and bustle of the coastal tourist resorts such as Benidorm and Torrevieja, to the unspoiled inland regions where, in some places, time seems to have stood still.
Sports lovers are well catered for in the Costa Blanca and with numerous fantastic golf courses such as Villamartin and La Finca, golfers can spend their week long holiday in the region without playing the same course twice.
The Costa Blanca is well served by many airlines which fly daily into the airports at Alicante in the north and San Javier (Murcia) in the south. Alicante is the largest city of the region and is generally bypassed by many tourists as they exit the airport and head either north towards Benidorm or south towards Torrevieja and Guardamar del Segura. This is a pity as it is a lovely place to visit and has a superb marina and some great beaches.
