If you own a holiday home in Spain and are interested in
renting it out in order to generate extra income, then there
has never been an easier time for you to do just that.
Managing your own bookings means you can benefit from:
- More bookings
- Control over who stays in your property and for how
long
- Increased income per booking (due to no agents' fees)
- Flexibility as to when you want property to be booked
- Ability to offer late deals or early booking discounts
- Addressing specific target audiences
If you are looking to sell your property in Spain, then
by advertising it with us you also benefit from:

- Highly marketed website (unlike the majority of estate
agents)

- Ability to make instant decisions

In the owners area (your admin system) of our website, you can create
a new listing, edit any listing you currently have live on
the site, preview any changes you make to your listings
before they are made live and also pay for your listing fees
via Paypal, who are our secure payment providers.
Additional properties (as many as you like) can also be
added via the owners admin system, which then have all of the
same facilities attached to them.
Manage your listing
When managing your own listing you can edit the critical
details such as availability, price changes, latest photos,
new local amenities, contact details changes, etc. any time
you like (and for free) which means that your visitors will
always have up-to-date information. An email enquiry form
will send queries about your property or business straight
to your inbox - you choose whether to accept or not.
Getting the most from your
listing
You've already taken the most important step by
considering advertising your property or business online. A
market survey (Source: aghz, online, September 21, 2007) found that
more than 85% of all those polled use the internet as a
means of searching for ideas or for booking their next holiday.
Your listing is the first thing a visitor will see and consequently
must show off your holiday home or describe your business
services to their very best potential. When you write the
text for your advert, remember; the first few lines that someone reads are the most critical.
These are the ones on
which people decide whether to continue reading, or click the 'next'
button. Here are a few tips to help you write your advert:
- Make sure you say something good about the location
AND the property in the very 1st paragraph. Holiday
makers, when searching, tend to look for locations first
and accommodation second.
- The headline you choose will entice people into
YOUR advert details page, but only if it's well written. Don't
write 'Villa in Spain with off-road parking' when
'Stunning 3 bedroom Spanish holiday villa with views of
the Med' will do.
- Write in short, factual paragraphs with just one theme
per paragraph - these are much easier to read on a computer
screen.
- Appeal to people's appetite or families in your text: e.g. 'The
patio is perfect for evening barbeques' or 'Kids will
love splashing around in the pool'.
- When you've finished writing your advert - read back
through it and delete superfluous words whose absence
does not alter the meaning. Remember, with
writing: less is more.
- People love lists: they are easier to read & comprehend.
You got this far didn't you!
- The words 'you' and 'your' are very important when
writing descriptions for your advert. Let people know
how they will benefit from using YOUR property or
service: e.g. 'You will only have a short stroll to the
beach'
- All of the above being said, there is still a distrust
of the 'faceless' internet for important transactions -
so let people know you really do exist. Give your advert
a human voice by using words such as 'I', 'We', etc.
- Using humour in your advert can help too as it is one
way to get people to trust you and respond positively.
Not TOO much though!
- If you have a guest book on your personal website -
use complimentary comments from it.
Your listing - your choice
When it comes down do it, you are trying to sell
something through your advert, whether that be time in your
holiday home, the holiday home itself or your products /
services. Keep your listing up-to-date, respond to emails
promptly and remember, above all else, it's your choice at
the end of the day, so you have the final say as to who you
let stay in your house or sell your products to.
now and maximize your income!
